Humaira attended Fairfield Highschool for Girls where she studied GCSE Media Studies and Textiles as she always had a passion for creativity and fashion. She spent most weekends being an assistant scout leader in Oldham and occasionally volunteering at charitable events in the evenings. Having done well in Media Studies GCSE, she wanted to explore this sector further so chose to study Graphic Design, Media Studies and English Language at Ashton-Sixth-Form College.

Via various work experiences, she came to realise the best option for her was to explore apprenticeships within Digital Marketing as she still wanted to be qualified and learn through experience – that’s when she came across The Juice Academy (www.juiceacademy.co.uk). She joined The Academy’s 22nd Cohort and was offered the role of Junior Content Executive at Tangerine Communications (www.tangerinecomms.com).

“Tangerine has taught me so much since the moment I got here from cool digital insights to pitching and creating intriguing content. The work can be really challenging but it’s exciting at the same time knowing I am part of big projects for big brands. It goes to show you really do learn a lot on the job and there is always the support from the tutors at The Juice Academy.”

At Tangerine, Humaira is part of the 20-strong creative team, brainstorming, creating and making content to go on national and international client social media channels. She is one of ten current and former apprentices at Tangerine and one of 300+ apprentices who have been through The Juice Academy and become digital marketing professionals.
